Early: ultrasounds in the hands of an experienced ultrasonographer are vet accurate. Doubt they would miss twins. They accurate within a week for dating the pregnancy.

IT INCREASES: Your Progesterone levels are very high when you are pregnant. With twins even higher. Your corpus luteum (the remainder of the cyst that formed your egg, then released it) continuous to produce Progesterone until the placenta takes over. When you are having two babies the levels are usually higher. You can have some side effects from this (bloating, constipation, gassiness, breasttenderness).

Unlikely: These tests rely on the active production of various markers in the blood and so a demised twin this early on will be unlikely to affect the test. Xanax  ?'s: First trimester Xanax is associated with birth defects in newborns when that pregnancy in the "first trimester" included ingestion of Xanax.  Pregnancies occurring with no Xanax taken may have congenital anomalies, but not due to Xanax in previous pregnancies.

Not necessarily: While women have symptoms  like  nausea vomiting and  fatigue during  the  first trimester,   others normal woman may not have any . The  symptoms  normally improve  by 12-14 weeks.If a patient has symptoms. It is of  more concern  if there is  a  sudden loss  of symptoms during the  early  to mid first trimester. If  there is  any concern consult  you md. They  can easily check and  reassure you.

is severe vomiting and cramping a sign of miscarriage in first trimester?

Possbily: Vomiting is usually more of a sign of morning sickness seen more commonly in early pregnancy.  Cramping however can occur in normally in a pregnancy and but it could also mean that the pregnancy is abnormal. Bleeding is also a seen many times with cramping.  The best thing to do is to go in and see an MD to get a sonogram and a blood pregnancy test to see what is happening.
