I try to approach it by asking people why they are drinking or why they're doing any drug. Men are not supposed to drink more than three drinks a day.  But even one can be a problem for some. Under Dr.'s care: Detoxification needs to be under close medical care.  Attempting to detox without adequate medical supervision could be dangerous and possibly deadly. If you know such a person encourage them to work with an addiction medical specialist and to get to some alcoholics anonymous meetings.

Has your ability to tolerate alcohol dropped recently?  I am answering 16 hours later, do you still feel the same or are your symptoms worse or better? Do have illnesses involving your liver or GI tract?

Liver transplant can be successful and you have to find a center which does that.There are several centers in us.
But one has to stop drinking alcohol otherwise it will not succeed.

You can't: The more important question is what support you are getting for yourself.  Do you have a counselor to help you deal with this, or at least a trusted friend or relative? Have you ever been into alanon or alateen? Family members can petition a court for involuntary commitment. Liver failure produces jaundice, which gets worse, abdominal distension, edema in legs, easy bruising and confusion.

May be normal: To some degree, it is normal to get some increase in heart rate after eating &amp; drinking (esp high sugar foods like alcohol) as digestion naturally increases the work of the heart/Increased blood flows to the stomach to aid digestion. The vagus nerve interfaces with the autonomic, parasympathetic control of heart rate, and may impact this response. If this is only/main symptom, not dysfunction.

MCV: MCV is Hematocrit/Total RBC count and is a measure of average blood cell size. Alcoholism is a cause secondary to poor absorption or lack of intake of B12 and folate. The low B12 and folate is a deficiency that leads to enlarged cells.
