Groin Strain: You may have pulled a groin muscle. It is less likely but also possible to have a hernia. A few other less common possibilities come to mind.  Need more information and exam.  OK to take OTC Tylenol or Advil with food prior to doctor visit for definitive diagnosis and treatment.  Using the medication will make going for the doctor exam less painful. If still painful may need ambulance.

can someone with osteoarthritis (bone on bone, pain, unable to walk without a cane) do any sort of exercise to keep himself fit? or should he not do any exercise?

10 days ago i hit my shin. bleeding & swelling werent too bad. it no longer hurts to walk on. its still sore to touch there are hard bumps on the bone?

Shin bone: Our lower leg tibia is lined by a periosteal sleeve which has a rich supply of nerves ,blood vessels and collagen. It is normal to develop small areas of firmness along the length of bone which was traumatized. They should slowly resolve but it may take a few months

Not normal!: While I can't give you a list of medical problems that could be causing your symptoms (too many and too theoretical), I can tell you that what you describe isn't normal.  It sounds like whatever's going on is causing you much suffering.  Please make an appointment with your GP and tell her exactly what you told me.
