hands dry and chapped on joints after winter and cold water washing. when applying a moisturizer they become red and they appear little bumps but not like rash. they are not itchy. is it normal? what more can i do?

Moisturizer: Wear latex gloves when washing dishes,etc. Apply moisturizing lotion while the hands are wet and not dry to lock in oils for skin protection.

Discoloration: Other than the hydroquinone I am not familiar with the components of "black and white" cream. The hydroquinine can lighten pigment in some patients but the results can vary. As far as using it in psoriasis I am skeptical about how well it would work.

Maybe: Severe psoriasis can get infected, and that situation would need to be treated to prevent it from getting worse and worse.

Unlikely: These are likely from conditions other than psoriasis or eczema although a contact allergy may be a potential cause. If the problem does not respond to topical hydrocortisone in a few days, see dermatologist.

Common: This is common and wearing gloves can help. There is a condition known as Raynaud's syndrome in which the blood vessels react excessively to the clod but it does not usually cause the skin changes you describe. Pure lanolin is usually very effective and less irritating for the chapping. Hope this helps.

i overwash my hands since covid started and they hurt and are red. i tried every moisturizer and none work. i got vanicream for sensitive skin. can i use it every time i wash my hands. are my hands clean with a moisturizer on i wash hands before?

: Hand hiegene is important but it has been over emphasized since COVID pandemic came on the scene. Initially it was relevant as we did not know how the virus gets into the body(Mouth versus Nose).
Now we know that SARS-COV2 enters through the nose where it attaches to its receptors, the oral route of enter is less likely. Hence washing hands can be reduced to 2-3 times a day(mostly before eating).

?burn: Could these be 1st degree burns? If so use soothing aloe vera lotion or even Hydrocortisone cream on them. For infected areas use an antibiotic ointment. Otherwise keep the area clean and dry.

can you have psoriasis arthritis without having psoriasis? also it is possible to have no stiffness/swelling/redness and have psoriasis arthritis? with just nail changes present?

: I think a good question is do you have psoriasis?  Psoriasis can have arthritis , just nail changes, or just skin changes. It is uncommon to have arthritis without ever having stiffness,. Boney swelling may not be seen on a person but an xray , sometimes the swelling maybe seen in the fingers, but not early on.
