experiencing sharp shooting pain up my leg, could it be related to early pregnancy?

Sciatica: Sharp, shooting pain down the side of the thigh to below the knee can be related to sciatica, a pinched nerve in the lower back. It could also be iliotibial band syndrome.  You can see your physician who will be able to clarify the diagnosis with a good exam.  Because of the change in your abdomen and pelvis during pregnancy the lower back can also be strained, and sciatica is common in pregnancy.

my son foot problem, flat feet & bones  shifted inward from weight gain. on r ft he claims bone hurts & i can see it stickin out a bit. also says theres shooting pain up his leg but also feels more tired w/body pain.  could something else be wrong?

More questions : Bone pain with fatigue is something that always requires a workup, unless it’s temporary aches during a viral illness. It becomes even more concerning if the pain wakes him up. I’d recommend seeing his physician and having basic labs and an x-ray done. I’m not sure exactly what you mean by bones shifted inward. You can have something called tibial torsion if he has in-toeing.

Fracture: Start with a x-ray to rule out fracture. If negative get a bone scan to rule out  occult fracture.  Get checked out for tendinitis.

Anxiety: is state of tension, apprehension, worry, uneasiness or fear. It may be related to anticipated danger or arise for no apparent reason. While mild episodes of anxiety are common and do not usually require treatment, more severe forms can be chronic and debilitating. Symptoms of severe anxiety: insomnia, chest pain, shortness of breath, nausea, palpitations, tremors, and parasthesia. See your PCP.

Depends on any asso-: Ciated hx of any other symptoms, any hx of injury, or back issues. A pinched nerve in the back can cause such symptoms like the one you have (called retrograde radiation of pain) which can start in the knee or foot/ankle or leg area and shooting up towards the hip or even to the back.
Have it checked by your orthopedist.

Ankle pain: This is difficult to answer without more info.  If it is on the inside of the ankle it could be posterior tibial tendonits.  For that i would recommend much better athletic shoes and an over the counter insert to start.  Avoid slippers, sandals, barefoot etc. If not better follow up with a podiatrist.

Too young for that: you are too young for that you must injured your knee some time in the past and it pay back now unless you decided suddenly to have rheumatoid arthritis

Back, hip or knee: Depending upon exact location and pattern, this may be nerve mediated pain from your back.  (lumbar disc herniation for example).  Disease of the hip or knee can also cause these symptoms.  The treatment depends upon the underlying cause.
