No: I say no because u said intermittent, so am presuming this has been going on for a while. Commonly, tingling or some sensation...Itchy, pain... Occurs prior to the outbreak of the rash of shingles, but generally this happens within 10 days.  The rash is like crops of tiny blisters that occur along a nerve path on only one side of the body. Likely tingle will resolve on own. If not, c the doc.

Shingle v. skeletal: Even in the absence of a rash, if you have had shingles in the past, you can still have "herpetic neuralgia, " which is simply nerve pain due to the inflammation of the nerves. Alternatively, this type of pain could occur due to "costochondritis, " which is essentially a pulled muscle between your rib spaces. Could have happened during exercise, sudden twist or even because of wire from a tight bra.

Question unclear: I doubt there is any link between the nose &amp; your shingles.That is a regional problem that follows a nerve distribution along its path. It can extend from the midline in the back to the midline in front one one side.If you have spots on your nose it is likely a minor staph/strep infection.

i had shingles a year ago. since then i have been getting nerve pain. mostly on my left eye area, shoulder blade area there is a burning pain.

last night i started getting a constant itch side of my right ribs underneath my arm pit and it goes into my shoulder blade to mid back. now burning aching pain. had shingles in 2016 by that area, but i don't have a rash now? not sure what else it is?

: It is very common that shingles will start with an itch or  "burning" pain and then the rash develops a few days later.  The rash will usually follow one section of skin, called a dermatome. months ago small patch blisters 1.5ins top left buttock treated with antiseptic ointment. now have upper mid back spine pain tingling from there to under shoulder blade, shape of shingles band but blisters were never there. could this be shingles?

: Those events are likely unrelated and current symptoms are not consistent with shingles because of no lesions. Post herpetic neuralgia may present the same but you must have a shingles breakout in the past in the same dermatome.

i developed some hurting skin in right outer armpit. a day felt the sore skin in shoulder blade/upper back. two days later noticed small rash on lower inner right breast. all of breast is tender, nipple very sensitive. is this shingles...a mild case?

: It sounds like you may be right that it is Shingles. You could be evaluated and may be placed on medication to reduce the duration of the pain and also consider getting the shingles vaccine.

Shoulder pain: Pain in the shoulder girdle can be due to impingement syndrome, rotator cuff tendonitis/tear and or bursitis, cartilage damage or muscle strain as well other  possibilities.  Simple exercises to strengthen the rotator cuff and shoulder blade muscles should be of benefit.  If pain persists then consider formal physical therapy or evaluation by your orthopedist.
