Difficult diagnosis: Might be herpes but not being able to examine the area makes this difficult to exclude slivers of foreign material which might have gotten under the nail, or a variety of other entities.

See doc: This might be a glomus tumor. See your doctor. It could also be something a orthopedic doctor would have to treat.

See your doctor: This should be evaluated by seeing your physician to rule out an infection of the hand which could be crippling. Other causes could be due to inflammation rather than an infection and may be treated appropriately by immobilizing the affected joint, or through medical treatment.

Recommendation : The first of all you have to rule out the trauma! Give her some pain medication like Advil or Acetominofen. If the pain and stillness of hand and fingers not resolved, make sense to go to doctor or ER.

Need more info: Did you have an injury even a slight one, to your right hand?  Do you have any loss of motion in that hand? It would also help me to know how old you are and what kind of occupation you have. There are several reasons for your complaint ranging from a neurological to an orthopedic cause. Please make an appointment with your family physician to find the cause and relive your pain.

Go to emergency now: you might have heart attach. A lot of information about risk factors for heart disease, except gender, are not mentioned including your age, but in general with this kind of symptoms I recommend to go immediately to the emergency room. There are other causes but cardiac causes need to be excluded especially if you have cardiac risk factors. I hope you will feel better.

Ulnar nerve: The pain or shock like symptoms radiating to the hand are not due to a bone. The ulnar nerve passes in a groove on the medial aspect of the elbow formed by the ulna bone and the numerous. It is relatively close to the surface and when something strikes it the Pain locally travels down the arm to the ulnar side of the hand like a sudden shock.

Finger pain: There are many possible etiologies for your finger discomfort - to be properly diagnosed you need a physical examination in person.  Finger discomfort and lack of mobility may occur secondary to nerve entrapment or problems with your muscles and tendons.

Probable strain: I suspect you may have strained either a tendon or ligament in your hand. Would probably take a few days off from golf and then go back out. If you are having a lot of pain from it,  i would rest it more for maybe a couple of weeks. Still not better, see your doctor for an evaluation.
