for two months, pain on top of head - left side but has also occurred on the right. its a burning sharp pain. it occurs daily. i also have tingling on top of my head too. when i google these symptoms, it says brain tumour occurs with stabbing burnin?

Numbness: You have pain affecting the three roots of the third cranial nerve, the trigeminal nerve,. Hence you may have trigeminal neuralgia.See a  neurologist for possible evaluation and treatment

Left sided headaches: If the headache is one sided and comes and goes, it is possible it is a variant of a migraine syyndrome. Temporal arteritis can give one sided headaches that are usually throbbing in nature. Other kinds of sharp pain can come from the scalp, if there is something irritating the skin.

Migraine?: Difficult to get a differential based on above symptoms. Do you have high blood pressure? Change in vision? What time of the day your headache/pain is worse?

Muscle tension: Most like  muscle tension - but could be tendon, ligament or pulled nerve. you can discuss with your physician

Irritation: Could be an irritation of the superficial nerve that comes out on the back of your scalp.  Muscle spasm can sometimes cause this nerve to become pinched or irritated.  Try NSAIDs and if it doesn't get better, see your doctor.

Unilateral Headache: More information is needed. Typically unilateral headaches can be related to sinus inflammation, cluster headaches, tension or facial nerve problems. Other medical conditions and medications can lead to unilateral headaches, as can vision disturbances and ear problems. See your Dr for a complete history and physical exam. Relief is frequently possible with OTC pain relievers.

: One of the most common causes of headaches is neck muscle tension, and it sounds like that is what you are describing. Sometimes if you've strained a muscle in one side of your neck, you can have symptoms like yours also. Stress and lack of sleep would aggravate the problem. Infection of the scalp would cause noticeable skin redness and tenderness. Are you dealing with increased stress currently?

Pain and tingling ey: MeK173 ~have you have your BP checked lately. If not this is a good excuse to go in for a check. This may be nothing, but if the pain persists I would see a Dr because this could be raised, blood pressure, simple migraine, eye infection, or early herpes zoster CrVdiv1, which can involve eye. If the HA is gone, watchful waiting but have the BP checked. thanks
