Probably strain: The fact you have a negative stress test makes a cardiac cause less likely. I would see if this occurs in different positions you may be using these muscles to brace your body. As would be in the missionary position with you on top/
If you are still concerned talk to your cardiologist to be sure.

Muscle tear?: You may have torn a muscle or other soft tissue like ligament or tendon.  This may have been the result of strenuous workout.  Please see do and he/she can help.  Peace and good health.

Bicep pain: Unless it's an injury, subdeltoid bursitis or tendonitis is a common cause of this type of pain. Increased shoulder pain on elevating the arm sideways away from the torso and associated tenderness of the shoulder are characteristic. Tendonitis responds to hot and cold applications, rubbing liniment and taking anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen or Aleve for a week or so. See MD as needed.

sharp pain in upper left arm bicep/elbow whenever i move the arm in certain ways/positions, especially raising above head or straightening it out.

Tendonitis: If there is no history of recent injury, I suspect you have tendonitis of either the shoulder or elbow and are experiencing radiation if the discomfort toward one or the other. Try to pinpoint whether the main inflammation is in the shoulder or elbow by moving them or pressing on them. Either way, try taking anti-inflammatory medication like Advil or Aleve for a week. See MD if not improved.

the past few days i have had a sharp, stabbing pain in my left bicep- it happens a couple times a day, but then goes away.  should i be concerned?

A few things: If the biceps is tender to touch or pain is increased with using the arm then the issue is likely within the muscle or arm itself.  If the pain is not reproduced with movements of the arm or with feeling the muscle it could be a referred pain.  This would commonly be from the neck or even a trigger point.  Not sure of your are, but a cardiac source should also be considered.  Go get checked out.

sharp pain in left upper back, hurts constantly, more when breathe or move, pain radiates to neck shoulder and rarely left bicep.  3 day gettin worse ?

Mgt/ workup: From your description the pain most likely is muscular and taking Motrin may help. If there is any difficulty breathing, please go to the ED for evaluation. 
Avoid muscular strain and using a heating pad are other measures which can provide relief. If the pain persists, worsens or is associated with any other symptoms, please see your PCP.

Pinched nerve: Pain that runs down the arm with or without numbness and tingling sounds like a pinched nerve in the neck. This is usually caused by a protruding disc or bone spur touching one of your spinal nerves as it leaves your neck.  This can often improve on it's own with rest and anti-inflammatories, but if your pain lasts greater than one week or gets worse see your physician.

Bicipital tendinitis: Biceps tendinitis is an inflammatory response to injury or overuse. Most of us run with our arms somewhat flexed at the elbow which may provoke an already symptomatic biceps tendon injury or inflammatory process. A thorough orthopaedic evaluation/examination should uncover the extent of injury.

can gas build up cause 2-3 minutes of sharp pain, left chest & left, inside part of bicep?  disappeared totally after 2-3 minutes.  i was never sob

Accepted Answer

Possibly: By "gas build-up" I presume you mean gastrointestinal gas that might travel up from the stomach (carbonated beverages are likely suspects) causing a pressure phenomenon within the esophagus.This could cause referred pain to the upper arm.The brief nature of this is consistent with this mechanism of pain. More likely it was simple esophageal muscle spasm caused by ? The brief duration is reassuring

i had rotator cuff surgery 7 weeks ago. should be feeling this sharp pain in outer bicep?

Can be normal: It is normal to still have some sharp pains 7 weeks after rotator cuff surgery.  Pain in the outer biceps is likely referred pain from the shoulder that is radiating to the biceps.  I let patients know that this should subside to a dull ache by 3 months after the surgery.
