Hard to say: Answer depends on lots of information that we don't have. How long have you had it? When does it occur?  Do you have any other medical problems? This is the sort of question best answered after an in-depth history &amp; exam.  Unless, after tracking the pain, you can relate it to an activity (certain exercise, prolonged sitting/standing in a certain position or chair) or a particular style of shoe.

May in fact: be your BACK ..that is a pinched nerve between the 4th and 5th LUMBAR vertebrae.....You should discuss with your Primary Care  (G.P etc) who may decide to obtain advanced imaging of your spine  ( eg: MRI)  Just a thought...hope it is helpful!

Knee pain: It could be iliotibial band syndrome, or ITBS.

have pain/burning sensation on shin bone just below knee when pressed or move in certain way. i ride a bike/walk lots for work. caused by overuse?

Shin pain: This could be tendonitis or shin splints. Shin splints are usually caused by excessive running or walking. 
I would rest from the walking and if biking aggravates the pain also, then rest from that as well for about two weeks.

Knee vs back?: From this description, it is hard to say for sure. Your prior knee event suggests maybe and injury to the soft tissues outside, or inside the knee. The burning and sharp pain up leg may not fit well with this, yet a more detailed history and physical exam would be useful with your PCP, an orthopedist, or Physiatrist.

In meantime, consider anti-inflammatories (if ok for you to take), ice, rest.

had 2 ultrasounds; left leg (hip to knee) to rule out dvt. test normal. now i'm having sharp pain/burning in upper and middle back can it be a clot?

DVT: Its good news that the ultrasounds were negative for deep vein thrombosis.  More typically what we worry about is bits of clot breaking off and traveling to and lodging in the lung (pulmonary embolism).  The presentation can vary...but this is mostly experienced as rapid onset of shortness of breath and chest pain.  Pain in the back is not a typical presentation for a clot.

Leg  burning: If in the thigh could be meralgia paralytic  compression of lateral  femoral cutaneous nerve , or could be a form of sciatica  or piriformis syndrome ( where sciatic nerve is  compressed by buttock muscles ( L4 compression) . Could see if motrin helps if not  allergic,  would consider MRI if persists , rarely could be ovarian , if ruptured/ large cysts / f/u/ w/ doc

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see a doctor, to rule out venous thrombosis.

oa/hypermobile. knee cracks, sudden v sharp pain below knee then burning pain. 4 or 5 times when i walk to town. physio made worse. what could it be?

Osteoarthritis: If you have a diagnosis of OA, then it is probably a manifestation of that.  OA is a loosely thrown around term, so be careful as a 37 yo of calling your self arthritic.  Burning pain can also be a nerve related issue.
