See below: Your symptoms might be due to the position of your head and neck during sleep. If you sleep with your head propped up on several pillows you may want to use just one pillow or try a cervical pillow. However for a precise diagnosis you would have to see your physician for a discussion of your symptoms and an exam.

19days back i had whiplash injury, my neurosurgeon examined says no problem. only neck pain.now my head is shaking abit when turning left and right.

Muscle spasm: The good news is you didn't hurt yourself worse.  You are probably having muscle spasms.  Just give it time and these symptoms should improve.

hi i have a question! can chiari malformation in back of neck cause little head shaking when i turn my head left and right? or can my mild concussion symptoms come back couple years later?

: Symptoms from this malformation vary depending on the portion of brain affected. Concussion symptoms are immediate and do not generally recur years later. Pl see your neuro doc.

Difficult diagnosis: If it involves numbness, I would recommend getting an EMG test to see if there is a nerve involved.  It could be a focal seizure, and seeing a doctor could help tease that out.  They might order an EEG.  Another possibility is an atypical migraine.  Multiple sclerosis is another possibility.  The shoulder should be looked at as a source of the pain as well.

do exercises cause retinal detachment for high myopic and floaters? i do many neck streching exercises like crunches, pushups, shaking head. is there any harm for eyes as i have heard that anyone who have floaters should not do heavy exercise?

: The exercise that are to be avoided are running, jumping, hopping and anything related to contact sports. Crunches, pushups, pullups and the like are not likely to cause retinal detachment. Talk to your regular Dr for more detailed instructions and restrictions.

Need more info: There can be many causes of severe head and neck pain.  As such, these symptoms should be evaluated thoroughly by your primary care physician, neurologist or physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist to identify the cause.  Once this is determined then appropriate treatment(s) can be considered.  i hope all goes well and that you feel better very soon.

Sun related Migraine: Sun is a source of many a wonderful things, including headaches! Pl see attached link for more general info on effects of sun, especially when the UV lights is brighter. Pl make sure you use sun protection with SPF greater than 30 and drink lots of water to avoid dehydration. Feel better!
