Your doctor knows: only your doctor knows and can tell you why  you need more surgery . since it was a surprise exlap, the reason was unexpected. therefore it's anybody's guess what happened. have a good discussion, slow and focused with your surgeon.

Yes: Uterine or endometrial ablation is a commonly performed procedure. It has helped thousands of women with abnormal bleeding, especially heavy menstrual flow.

does ablation surgery get rid of fibroids?

Accepted Answer

Not usually: Ablation impact is on the lining of the uterus (womb). Myomas (fibroids) are mostly in the walls  if excess bleeding is caused by fibroids, it is usually not treated by ablation.

is laser ablation better than surgery for epilepsy?

Accepted Answer

Talk to neurologist: If seizures don't respond to medical treatment and if their site of origin within the brain can be localized (by MRI or other sophisticated radiological studies) to a small area within the brain, laser ablation is used - but only at a small number of academic centers.  Discuss this with your neurologist.

Good Question: Saphenous vein as a conduit for lifesaving coronary bypass surgery is a proven therapy. Internal mammary conduits are superior and radial artery conduits slightly better long term than saphenous veins but not always available or suitable. The more conduit options you can give yourself in the event of a lifesaving coronary bypass the better off you are.

i had bilateral mild hydronephrosis from 4 months. upon diagnosis i got posterior urethral valve ablation. a month since my surgery still have it and i wonder how much time it would take to completely heal and any complications? i am 18 years old?

: If hydronephrosis resolved completely afterward you should be fine without any long term complication thanks to the early diagnosis of mild hydronephrosis with routine antenatal ultrasound. You should have good kidney function with a normal kidney ultrasound at this time. Take care.

: Depends on how bad and for how long you had hydronephrosis. Ask Dr who has seen the x-rays and did your surgery what their experience has been in folks like you who they did what they did on you.

for pain in mt knees due to partial bone on bone would knee radio-frequency ablation be a good option to try. the gel shot didn't work completely & i don't want surgery yet?

: It may be helpful for pain control, no effect on your structural joint problem, you can give it a try if knee arthroplasty is not preferred at this time. By the way, if you had only the gel shot in the past you now should try steroid shot.

i have a thyroglossal duct cyst, small (per the dr).  i am seeing an ent tomorrow.  what are thoughts on ethanol ablation as an alt to surgery?

It appears to be: a safe, effective treatment especially of small cysts.
