Severe sinus pain: Hello. Severe sinus pain usually responds to ibuprofen, saline nasal irrigation followed by Afrin x 5 days only. If no relief, see your ENT doctor for further evaluation.

: Yes you can, but not here. This site is informational only. There are 2 choices, one is to block symptoms, but that won't correct you problem. The other is to determine the cause of your problem and cure the cause. You can be examined virtually, but would be best to see your General Practitioner or Urgent Care, or see a specialist ENT Otolaryngologist.

Diagnosis: The best advice i can give you is to see an ENT specialist and have an appropriate diagnosis.  The ENT specialist can document three things. 1.)  a specific and proper diagnosis, 2.) perhaps a cat scan to document that diagnosis and 3.)  appropriate medical or surgical treatment based on the diagnosis.  Remember, always, diagnosis precedes treatment.

Possibilities: Describing what could be an allergy flare up. Likewise, could also be start of sinus infection. Could benefit from seeing an ent. Nasal steroids might be helpful along with possible antibiotics.

More info needed..: Did the pain in your sinus start immediately after the extraction? How is the wound healing? Do you have sinus issues? The sinus pain may or may not be related to the extraction depending on the answers to these questions. Seek the guidance of an oral surgeon or ENT specialist.

Sinusitis: Hi, sounds like a bad episode of sinusitis. you will likely need antibiotics. Steroids are sometimes prescribed for symptom relief as well. Please see your GP ASAP.

Sinusitis: Apply warm compresses to the facial area, inhale steam to promote drainage from the infected sinus. Take acetaminophen.  If nasal passages are clogged, use decongestant nasal spray. Contact your physician or an Otolaryngologist for appointment or prescription for an appropriate antibiotic.

Hard to tell: If the problem continues for more than 10 days and the nasal discharge gets more discolored, then the chance of a bacterial sinus infection increases.  Otherwise either allergic rhinitis or a viral sinusitis can present the same symptoms you have described.

Mask: Does the mask have an internal metal nose bridge? Is the mask overly tight?  Do all symptoms dissipated once mask is removed?  There are a number of different mask designs. Would suggest trying different style to see if that alleviates pressure. I have been experimenting with making different variations on mask designs &amp; it can make a big difference.
