Really need : More information to be able to tell you. Is he active in sports, did he fall or have any physical injury , accident that may have caused this ? Is he limping? Does he have a fever , swelling , rash etc? Best advice is to take him to his pediatrician to sort it out. In meantime, you can give him some Motrin or Ibuprofen

It sounds like you: have Restless Legs Syndrome. See your Dr,there are various medications that relieve this syndrome. Does this mostly occur at night, oris it worse at night?

Calf pain: You don't give your age but this sounds like vascular Claudication. You might have spasming arteries in leg when exerted that relax at rest. This is by definition vascular Claudication.

Change in gait?: That part of the heel is associated with the Achilles’ tendon insertion. The tendon “fans” out covering the back of the heel.   Tightness to the muscle can cause such problems. I feel consideration to your gate if it has changed due to hip and knee arthritis.  Someone trained in biomechanics should be able to help.

i felt severe pain as if i was pulling a muscle at the gym 2 days ago while doing lunges. now the thigh is swollen, there is no discolouration. pain is along sartorius distribution. how lilely is a muscle tear? can i take anti inflammatories anf rest

Tear: It could be acute strain or a sprain. Rest and anti inflammatory medication would be effective. Also moist heat compresses may help. Good Luck
