every day no matter what i eat, i get severe gas abd pain 30 min after eating.doubled up for 30 min, then abd pain resolves. what might cause this?

Post eating: Are you sure that you're not having symptoms after eating diary products(lactose intolerance)?  If not, you may have a type of irritable bowel syndrome. A loose bowel movement usually follows the cramping in IBS. A hyperactive gastrocolic reflex is another possibility. Taking an antispasmodic like dicyclomine 1/2 hour before the meals prevents the cramping. See gastroenterologist as needed

i had a helllers myotomy 8wks ago. the last 2wks after eating dinner at 6pm i get severe gas pain and diarrhoea lasting 12-18hrs keeping me up all night. what could be the cause and how can i fix it please. i have no allergies and no pattern to food?

: This procedure should not cause diarrhea'. Stop solid food and drink small amounts of fluids frequently. call your surgeon and let her/him know. It might be from eating something which caused GI irritation/ infection. Hope you feel better

Food Diary: Do a food and symptom diary and then eliminate the food that is most commonly associated with your symptoms.

Need eval: In your age these are symptoms that need further evaluation.  I would be concerned about your esophagus, stomach and pancreas. You need an egd or endoscopy to eval for gastritis , peptic ulcer disease, webs,  rings and of course tumors.  Your symptoms are of concern so i would sched appoint right away.

i'm 20-yo black f w/ many conditions (fibro, pots, endo, eds, possibly ibs), gastro issues for 7m, lost 55+ lbs w/o trying, have gas pain 2-3hrs after eating (hospitalized severity), tested neg for common diags, tried many diets to no avail- pls help?

: Have you been tested for gastroparesis? That is when the stomach doesn’t work well so food stays in the stomach for prolonged periods of time. It is diagnosed by getting a gastric emptying study. There are medications that can be tried if diagnosed. You would need to see a GI doctor to diagnose and treat. Best of luck to you!!

Few suggestions...: Try taking one or more of the following: simethicone, charco-caps, or probiotics.  Dietary insoluble fiber causes gas as does lactose if you are lactose intolerant.  A low-fodmaps diet (ibsfree.Net) can help control chronic gas. Good luck!

Fissure?  PF?: This might be worth having seen. A fissue and proctalgia fugax are both considerations.

Is it really gas...?: Abdominal pain is never normal, but you have not indicated the intensity, duration, or circumstances of your symptoms.  Lots of things cause abdominal pain--see my earlier healthtap answers on the subject please.  If pain is severe (as you indicate) or worsening, don't delay in seeking evaluation & getting treated. The history of jaundice may have nothing or everything to do with your symptoms.
