i was wondering if a deep dental cleaning at a dentist would bring out a cold sore i never gotten a cold sore before but i was wondering if it does?

Accepted Answer

: It could. Any manipulation of the mouth, fever, exposure to sun etc and cause a cold sore. Do not skip dental hygiene because of this.
For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. 
Get HPV and Covid vaccines. Wish you good health!

would a deep dental cleaning help blocked salivary gland in paratoid? also, i have loose tooth and they recommended a deep cleaning. should that help the loose tooth? i have 2 more sessions coming up. thank you?

: A dental cleaning will not unblock a salivary gland obstruction. Regarding a somewhat loose tooth, a decrease in inflammation may help, and certainly keeping the area super clean will give that tooth a little more longevity.

13 yo had heart murmur 2 yrs ago otherwise healthy& active today had dental cleaning w bleeding should he take profilact abx? what to look out for?

Probably not: Only if there is known structural disease of the heart is antibiotic prophylaxis indicated. You'd physician should have advised you.

pt.f/68 with bleeding gum after dental cleaning. it's been bleeding for 17hours. she's on plavix,monopril (fosinopril) anddigoxin.

Bleeding gums: Plavix (clopidogrel) will increase the chance of bleeding following surgical procedures and deep cleanings. Since we cannot know her full medical and dental history as well as periodontal condition (bone loss, pocketing, etc) we can't really comment beyond that. She should notify the dentist who actually treated her for advice.

why do my gums get irritated easily? i brush 2x a day, floss at night, no bleeding, have no plaque or recession bcs of regular dental cleaning, they still get irritated around the gum line, esp after flossing. am i doing it wrong? brushing too hard?

See below: Speak to your dentist in reference to your concerns. Did the dentist recommend more frequent hygiene visits or scaling and root planing? Follow through with all recommendations and stringent home care.

one of my molars is really bothering me after a dental cleaning. i've had a severe abscess a year ago, not on that tooth tho. could this be infected?

Yes: The infection can be from  the pulp of the tooth dying or from gum disease. See your dentist to identify and treat the cause of your pain.

can a dentist refuse a dental cleaning, if he insists on doing a deep cleaning on three teeth?  all i wanted was a regular cleaning.

Yes: If you your dentist says that you need a deep cleaning on some of your teeth then he should have informed you that you have periodontal disease affecting those areas and the standard of care for treatment is scaling and root planing (deep cleaning). Your dentist can either choose to not treat you the way you request or have you sign an informed refusal to treat the periodontal disease then clean.

can i be at risk of being exposed/infected with hiv:
1. give oral and get pre cum in mouth
2. an hour after giving oral, go for a deep scaling dental cleaning ?

Many things possible: But rare things are rare, so no worries. For example, one can theoretically get HIV via deep kissing, but it's probably super rare. If both partners have some cracks or scrapes on the lips or inside the mouth, any canker sores, or any bleeding gums, then HIV can be passed. Though rare, the possibility of getting infected may increase with the amount of time spent kissing.
