If you have no stomach problems, bleeding tendency, or kidney or liver problems it is safe to take over the counter Motrin with food. Please take as recommended on the bottle or your physician. For  most people the stiffness works itself out after a little while. Hot showers or baths help. Gentle opening and closing of the fingers usually helps. I doubt it. CTS: presents in a gradual fashion,insidious,and usually not both hands at same time.  I suggest you see a Neurologist or Rheumatologist  urgently.
