Arthritis: Hi. It sure sounds like arthritis to me. There are many different types of arthritis, with different types of treatments. See your doc, and if indicated, get a referral to a rheumatologist. Have you tried the first-line drugs like ibuprofen or naproxen to see what kind of response you get? Good luck!

More details: If the stiffness is worse in the morning, it could be a sign of an autoimmune disease.
