For seborrhea : In general,medications used to treat seborrhea include medium potency corticosteroid cream. The over-the-counter cream is usually 1% hydrocortisone which is low potency. The other agent that is used would be an antifungal cream. The best option is usually a prescription like ketoconazole. There are over-the-counter antifungal creams that can be tried but their potency may not be as effective

the clobetasol solution (in conjunction with medicated shampoos) that i use for treating sebhoreic dermititus on my scalp is expensive and ineffective. amoxycillin (250mg/day) is cheap effective and in the long run dangerous. suggestions?

Amoxicillin: suggests that the problem is from an infection and not for seborrhea thus the ineffectiveness from clobetasol .  However long-term amoxicillin use will end up getting you infected with a resistant bacteria not to mention the potentially serious infection in your guts. I suggest that you consult a dermatologist. (Are you on any drug which may suppress immune system or do you have diabetes?

i went to sephora and apply lipstick with a swab but the second time the lady that work there had a cold sore and see rub the lipstick on hand before getting me another swab. she had no sores on hand i didn't noticed it at first bc of her lipstick?

: Herpes virus from a cold sore is transmitted from skin to skin contact. If the virus was somehow briefly present on that lipstick, it could be transmitted to your skin.  I feel the chances of this happening is very unlikely though and I wouldn't worry much about it.

No: The resident fungus (pityrosporum orbicularis) on most normal skin can cause seborrhea on some people.  This fungus thrives on oil especially olive oil.  Thus the less oil on the fact , the better.

Not likely: Jojoba oil  is actually a mixture of long chain monounsaturated liquid wax esters.  They are structurally different from triglycerides.  Although it has been shown to have some antibacterial activity in test tubes, not aware of clinical trials showing efficacy against ringworm.  Your friendly pharmacist can guide you to numerous otc meds effective against superficial fungal infections.
