Scarring possible: A small scratch is more likely to leave what we call " post inflammatory hyper pigmentation"  meaning a little dark spot where the scratch was.   Depending on skin tone to start with, this may take 6 months to a year to resolve.   Sun will tend to darken the pigmentation so be sure and help him with a little suncreen to protect the area.   The xinc oxide sticks work well for smaller kids.

Scratch: Could be scratch marks from your nails (maybe you are scratching at night), a bugbite, or from a pet.  If blood is showing, clean the area with soap and water, and apply a topical antibiotic.

See a doctor: Appears to have an infection but cannot assess whether topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or triple antibiotic ointment would be enough. Avoid the risk by visiting a doc for best treatment.

May take time: It may still get better on its own with time. But to facilitate the healing, you may use some scar creams that helps with healing. These creams or ointments can be purchased from OTC. You just have to be very careful not to get it inside your eye, which can cause serious irritation. You may want to see an oculofacial plastic surgeon to help with the recovery of the scar as well.

See an eye MD: I don't have enough information.  If it is on the  eyeball, it could be a variety of things, and if it on the  eyelid, it could be other things.
To guess at a diagnosis is of little benefit to your daughter and my best suggestion is to see an ophthalmologist.

Eycat scratchconcern: Effective antibiotics can not be purchased without a prescription.  My concern would be to ascertain if a claw of the cat did not puncture through the sclera of the eye.  This could be a potentially  serious trauma.  An ophthalmologist should be consulted immediately.

: I don't consider the cited symptoms as suggestive of anything related to CSD except the node, which by itself could be from a number of triggers. I wouldn't treat myself or a relative based on this info.

See your eye doctor: ASAP, meaning oculoplastics surgeon! Eye swelling after being hit can indicate a possible orbital floor fracture &amp; especially if you are seeing a deep scratch. What's behind the scratch is important &amp;  u may need orbital xrays or CT scan done to determine the extent of soft tissue/bone injury. If u can't look up, there could be entrapment of fat or eye muscle. May need oral steroids. Don't wait!

Depends on how large: or deep the wound is under the eyelid is, or how the wound came to be. Is it blunt trauma? Animal bite? What is the origin. You are at the maximum point of contracture for the wound now. May be good to get a 2nd opinion from University of Cairo Ophthalmology Department. (Contact Dr. Rania Ahmed Salem) who can help you. She is an oculoplastics surgeon in the Department, and an associate professor.
