What did your doc: Say? Your doc should have explained all of the possible causes to you, could be from too much estrogen building up benign tissue, could be form intrauterine polyps or fibroids, could be from pre-cancer- hyperplasia or endometrial cancer if you were my pt i would do an in office hysteroscopy and biopsy  to r/o anything bad and then i can rec txmnent, hopefully your doc does this in the office.

US reading: Assuming this was from an US reading, it simply means that your uterus was measured and found to be in the "thick" classification category.  As long as you are getting regular routine evaluations with your GYN dr. and getting your normal screening test done, and have no symptoms, AND assuring your GYN knows the report of the US, and is following you...then you should be fine.

You are right !: The lining of the uterus known as endometrium builds up every cycle as a thin lining insiode the uterine cavity. When it sheds, the uterine wall bleeds. This is the period.

Use protection: Implanon protects against pregnancy, but not stds so use protection if that is a concern.  The drug hormone released makes the uterine lining less friendly for a fertilized egg to implant.  The Implanon website is a good one.  Read it for further information, but it states you can conceive during the first week after Implanon is removed.

Dpends: If you ovulated and don't bleed, your lining will get thicker.  If you did not ovulate, your lining may not be thicker.  Be prepared for your next period to be heavier. If you are late for your period, you might be pregnant. Home tests are very accurate, .

Consider fibroid emb: Are you having symptoms such as heavy menstrual bleeding or pelvic pain from the fibroids. If not i wouldn't recommend any treatment. If you are having symptoms, i think you should consider fibroid embolization instead of surgery. It is an outpatient, minimally invasive procedure associated with minimal risks with similar results as surgery..

Yes : Blood is blood and it does not matter what the appearance of it is.

: It is possible. One of the known effects of Implanon is to make harder for a fertilized egg to attach to the uterus, but I am not sure what the chance is. The primary effect of Implanon is still to prevent ovulation.

Unusual : Question. The time to slough off the lining totally depends inn its thickness and strength of uterine contraction from prostaglandins  . If say 1 day in a person on some type of pill . On the contrary from the moment of conception the lining is prepared and maintained until birth when it it is then sloughed an that takes about 6 weeks. Hope that answers your question
