Depends: It would depend on the severity of the tear, your overall health, your prescribed therapy and your own inate ability to heal.  It could be anywhere from a couple of weeks to 6 weeks or more.  Get a good evaluation from an orthopedist or a sports medicine specialist and perhaps a physical therapist  dealing with sports injuries.

i have twitches for 2 days now, it went down in severity, it's isolated to a single location on my thigh (sartorius muscle if i am not mistaken), should i be worried ?

Not yet: Muscle twitching for two days in a middle age male is very likely related to isolated overuse of a local muscle group. Warm soaks, calcium supplements or foods, and rest will likely accompany resolution.  Continuance after a week or so, worsening, or occurrence of other symptoms might suggest a doctor visit.

Ice and rest: Inflammation is best treated with anti-inflammatory medications like motrin. Take it around the clock for a week. Also, apply ice to the shoulder for an hour every night before you go to bed. Avoid any activity that causes pain. If it does not improve in 1-2 weeks see your doctor.
