Not yet: Muscle twitching for two days in a middle age male is very likely related to isolated overuse of a local muscle group. Warm soaks, calcium supplements or foods, and rest will likely accompany resolution. Continuance after a week or so, worsening, or occurrence of other symptoms might suggest a doctor visit.

No . : It is usually transient . You should worry if it is getting worse and persistent.

Usually not, but. . : Zebra, muscle twitches of relatively short duration, no matter the location, are usually the result of minor muscle injury from overuse, overexercise, or compression. I would try rest, nsaids (motrin), massage and hot/cold compresses. If it lasts longer than a week, is getting worse, or spreading to other areas i would discuss it with your primary doctor.

No: Twitching is common & happens to everyone; and is not dangerous -- usually just bothersome ... Sometimes downright painful! frequent twitching (in the absence of new meds, herbs, etc.) could indicate a deficiency of several salts: potassium, magnesium, calcium, manganese, selenium. A daily multivitamin can replace these salts if you are deficient. See your pcp to exclude more serious problems.
