Furuncle: There is not much else to do.  I would not lance it on your own as it may introduce infection.  You may need to go to your primary if it needs to be opened up to heal.

Sure: Epsom salts are used commonly for inflammations and can help the discomfort of many inflamed skin conditions. After dissolving,  you should mix the salts into lukewarm to cool water and apply as a compress.  If you use hot water, the boil will become more inflammed.  Healing, however,  requires the content of the boil to drain.

Depends: It may need to be drained.  He may need to take antibiotics, or both.  Did a doctor see the boil, or is that your diagnosis? Ointments are rather useless for abscesses since these are under the skin infections. Hot compresses are a good idea, but may not be sufficient.  See your doctor please.

Sitz Baths: Buy about 10-15 pounds of Epsom salts and dissolve 1/2-1 lb. of in 4-6 inches of warm water in a bathtub. Soak nd keep adding warm ( not hot water ) do this at least 2-3 times daily, gently, pat dry.

Boils: The best way to treat a boil is to naturally cut it open and get the infected gunk out. You can do that best by going to a dermatologist for incision and drainage.

Probably cooked: Boling vegetables may destroy essential nutrients like water soluble vitamins.
 However it is puported  in some studies that cooking vegetable like tomatoes and carrots make antioxidants more available for absorption.Steaming or microwaving or roasting the vegetable is better than boiling them to mush.
  Perhaps you needs to try some new recipies.

Can call Dr on video: Call to see if a clinic visit is needed. Most boils are treated with drainage of the pus inside. Antibiotics are sometimes, but not always, used after that. For boils that don't look like they are thin enough to lance through the skin, antibiotics may be used to stop the infection (then a surgeon can remove non-infected cysts at a later time). Ask Dr. if MRSA bacteria prevention might be needed.

Boils: Painful sitting means you need to see your doctor.  He/she can lance the boils and also prevent further infection.  You may need to change your diet if these are frequent, w/the help of a nutritionist.  Peace and good health.
