My son has a boil. we have been doing epsom salt baths, warm compresses, and antibiotic ointment. he has had it 3-4 days. what else needs to be done.?

Depends: It may need to be drained. He may need to take antibiotics, or both. Did a doctor see the boil, or is that your diagnosis? Ointments are rather useless for abscesses since these are under the skin infections. Hot compresses are a good idea, but may not be sufficient. See your doctor please.
