i have had a blocked salivary gland under the jaw for a month and a half. is it because i drink every weekend thats when it gets bad.

hard very sm salivary gland stick up and is painful when i press the underside of jaw doesn't happen on other side of mouth though what can this be?

Blocked duct: I will give you one of many possibilities. The salivary gland empties into your mouth through a duct.If anything blocks the duct the saliva will back up. Trauma or a calcium "stone" can block it. You can try to reopen by sucking on sour sugarless hard candy for a day. Not going to harm anything. If you have any doubts check with your physician or dentist.

small swollen spot on inside of lower jaw...no pain. one identical, but not swollen on opposite jaw. is this a cause for concern? salivary gland?

Tori: Is it hard?  If so it is probably a torus.  No concern unless it gets too big.  If soft, get it checked.

i have a sour-like taste in my jaw as if i was eating sour candies or sucking on a lemon.  could this be a salivary gland issue or something else?

Sucking a lemon: It very well could be a salivary issue. I would see your dr asap to determine if there is a problem.

Submandibular glands: May represent submandibular glands. If unsure, or accompanied  by pain, fullness, trouble swallowing, fever etc, see oral surgeon or ENT doc for exam.

Potential Infection: Swellings often is an inflammatory response that could be secondary to an infection.   Sources of infections in the jaw may be from any tissue both hard and soft. Salivary gland swelling is not the most common type however should be evaluated by a dentist or physician.

Inflam or infection?: This location sounds like your mastoid process, which sometimes swells, becomes uncomfortable, and can fibrose (scar tissue) from inflammation or infection.  Depending on how  long you've had this, it may be more or less critical to have it examined, but certainly make sure you get a professional opinion, as it could help prevent further problems elsewhere if it's caught earlier than later.

i had a salivary gland removal surgry about 6 month back. developed below my jaw & it sized a table tennis ball. wat cud b the reason for this?

Hard to Say: It could have been a blocked duct-often caused by infection but infection can also cause the clockaged. It could have been a benign tumor growth. If it was soft to the touch, it was more likely from blockage.  Whoever removed the gland should have sent it to pathology-have you contacted them? That would be the only way to know for certain the cause and whether or not you might have further issues.
