Sacral pitting edema: Sacral pitting edema is common in bedbound patients due to gravitational pooling of fluids.  If there is no history of recent diarrhea or vomiting, i would suspicious of loop diuretic in CHF patient causing this problem.

Fluid overload?: Can't give you an accurate answer without knowing more history, etc. But it sounds like some fluid overload.  This would resolve on its own in an otherwise healthy individual.

i have had a mri of my si joints please could you explain what the findings mean subarticular bone marrow oedema on either side involving the sacral and the iliac with some associated subarticular sclerotic changes and articular cortical irregularity?

: The sacroiliac joints appear to have developed wear and tear degenerative changes and the findings might also raise concern regarding secondary inflammation.  Clinical correlation may be of value, such as the question of Ankylosing Spondylitis.   Ask your doctor about a potential pertinent diagnosis.

Sacral pain: Painful swelling in the sacral area without history of trauma suggests an abcess or collection of blood(hematoma) and warrants an evaluation by a physician as soon as possible.

Sacral swelling: Swelling in this area is difficult to predict. It could be a pilonidal cyst or a lipoma or an abscess or a malignancy . I would recommend a referral to see a general surgeon who would be able to take your history and examine you and make the diagnosis.

: Lower back lump and tightness and burning there when you poop are not related and might be co incidental. If two surgeons told you that there is nothing very abnormal then you should be reassured.

Benign fatty tumor: (lipoma), cyst, cellulitis or abscess: requires direct observation, examinations , diagnosis and treatment.

Unlikely: A fracture is less likely but an MRI of the sacrum would be very helpful. There are several pissible causes. Have you seen a rheumatologist?
