Bioflavonoids/Vit.C: The most important nutrients for vessel health are bioflavonoids & vit. C. Vitamin e & zinc are also important. Dryness: The vast majority of conjunctival hemorrhages are caused by dry eyes which can be helped with artificial tears.  Sometimes, the bleeding can be worsened by use of anticoagulants such as Coumadin (warfarin) or plavix.  Other causes include uncontrolled blood pressure and bleeding disorders.  If you have headaches or other symptoms, please see your ophthalmologist right away.

What RU using?: What do you use for anti-coagulation? Heparin? There is a condition called hit: Heparin induced low platelet count that can induce  blood clot formation a severe condition. If using coumadin, (warfarin) prodaxa u may be overdosed. Highly suggest seing asap a hematologist! why are you anticoagulated in the first place at age 40? Had dvt, pe?

If you have severe liver problems there is a condition called portal vein hypertension. This increased pressure can cause veins to rupture especially in the esophagus.
