In a rocker bottom foot, the weight can go to the mid foot where is does not belong, breaking that part of the foot down. Custom shoewear : The best initial treatment is custom or extra depth shoes with custom orthotic inserts to spread the pressure out and protect the rocker bottom part of the foot. If you are at risk for skin ulceration, then surgery can be considered to re-align the foot.

Plantar Heel Pain: This pain is one of the more common in podiatry.  Exercises to stretch the achilles tendon to relieve the pressure on the bottom of the foot.  Anti-inflammatories work best.  Also try using an ice bottle rolling on bottom of foot.  While common, its difficult to go away because you walk. If the pain is not getting any better seeing a podiatrist will help to evaluate for fasciitis/heel spur pain.

Possible drug rxn: This could be a drug reaction.  The skin biopsy should clarify this.  If this turns out to be a reaction to Augmentin, (amoxicillin and clavulanate) there are alternatives that our physician can prescribe to prevent UTIs.
