i feel a tiny numb spot on the side of my tongue,what could this be its my only symthom,yet oral surgeon says healthy tongue and nuero says its stress?

Reduce swelling: Possibly there is some swelling of the nerve to that area. Possibly you bit it and it is still swollen, but not enough to see on examination.
Ask your doctor about using papain and bromelain to reduce any swelling. For my patients I use Clear.ease, one 4x a day, melt in mouth between cheek and gums.
A good way to reduce stress is to count your inhale four and exhale six.

wife has covid still mild symptoms day 7 since test. sudden numb tongue on both sides. compares it to local anesthesia shot during dental work. no stroke symptoms otherwise. causes? emergency? covid related?

: This symptom may be related to the infection. I would recommend a neurologic exam at acute care today. If there is associated loss of taste or smell, this is a relatively common association with the infection. The sudden nature of the onset is of concern, please see acute care today. COVID 19 may be associated with embolic complications. Watch for signs of shortness of breath, chest pain and fever

random tingling in tongue? kinda like its numb.. it happens every now and then and usually its in the back of the tongue or the left side.. it happens for a few seconds and goes away. one time it last like 30-45 minutes what could this be?

Tumbness: The tongue is supplied by the 5th and 12th cranial nerves.  The nerves come from the ear or atleast travel close to it. The area has muscles, stylohyoid, and structure like the parotid gland. Some type of process pressing on nerve could be a facor. Some type of ischemic issue such as  TIA possible, but your are young for that.

bell's palsey and tongue numbness on same side. when will it go away?

Depends: Most patients with Bell's Palsy have complete recovery, however this is affected by a number of things, such as: 1) younger age 2) milder symptoms at onset 3) early resolution of symptoms (&lt;2 weeks) 4) early treatment with steroid with or without antivirals. Most start to have improvement within 3 weeks, however symptoms may remain up to 1 yr before improving. Few have lifelong symptoms.

Seek an evaluation: It is hard to tell without examining you.  I would suggest a visit to an oral surgeon, oral medicine specialist, or ENT physician for an evaluation.

Strange: Never heard of this but I would recommend an oral surgeon or an ENT for evaluation.  Need a though history and exam.

Tongue injury: You did not tell us how long ago this occurred. Most wounds of this nature will heal on their own with time. Keep it clean with salt water rinses. It is always better to consult with a professional, in this case a dentist, to ensure that nothing else needs to be done.

Spontaneously ?: Left side of your body? Just your face? Is this after a dental procedure or an extraction? Have you seen a dentist? You need to be evaluated immediately by a dentist for an infection if it is just your mouth and tongue, and immediatelt by an er physician if your body is numb.
