Adrenal eval: Hi. The adrenal nodule needs to be evaluated. What were the Hounsfield units on the non-contrast scan of the nodule? Your endocrinologist will determine: 1) if it's producing any hormones, and 2) if it's growing. If high Hounsfield units, it needs sooner evaluation. Any hirsutism, amenorrhea, diabetes, serious high blood pressure, sweating, headache, palpitations, etc? Good luck!

Atelectasis....: Atelectasis, which is when there is collapse of the small airways in the lungs, could account for your symptoms. If you get an incentive spirometer, and use it every hour while awake, the atelectasis will resolve faster. So, see your doctor and get an incentive spirometer. Your doctor can show you how to use it! And, if you smoke, you need to quit ASAP to decrease airway inflammation.

Mgt: If there are no respiratory symptoms, it can be followed. Maintain a healthy diet and weight.

Breathing exercises: Time now  for deep breathing exercises or incentive spirometer for several weeks then recheck with chest X-ray. The atelectasis can occur from poor airflow in the area.

To,observe: Likely benign post inflammatory granulomas and will calcify over time.
Regular cts for a few years will establish this.

. Prior exposure ? Histoplasmosis , farming, digging etc

Atlectasis: This often happens after bypass surgery, he should use the spirometer from the hospital, if he doesn’t have that, take deep breaths frequently about hourly and follow with your doctors

Collapse: This a term means parts of the lung are under-inflated or collapsed. It is like a balloon with the air let out. It can involve  small amounts of the lung or large portions of the lung. The more lung involved the bigger the problem. Causes range from the trivial ( mild atelectasis seen with bed rest) to the serious ( complete atelectasis of a whole lung from a tumor in the airway. ) lots in between.

linear atelectasis: Lung collapse/atelectasis can occur for many reasons asthmatics get collapse because of mucus plugs in the airway.Sometimes aspiration  causes atelectasis. Infection and tumor can produce atelectasis. Ateletasis can clear following disappearance of disease process. Plate-like atelectasis is usually minor area of lung collapse sometimes seen without obvious cause or scar from previous disease.
