i've been using cold-pressed, virgin castor oil on my eyebrows and eyelids x3 nights. now, i'm worried about ricin poisoning. should i be worried?

No: There is no need to worry about ricin being in the castor oil, compared to all the other things we have to worry about in life. Castor oil may not be needed nor useful... which means one should investigate to see if castor oil has been truly proven to help in the way one is using it (castor oil has been around a long time and has many myths about it).

Ricin overdose : Ricin overdose results in nausea, diarrhea, tachycardia, hypotension and seizures. If the extend if your symptoms are swollen lips you should look elsewhere for the cause. If you feel that you have a serious problem, see your physician for an examination.

drink fluids
aloe gel or moiturisers
take tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin for pain of the burns
antihisamines in some cases and local soothing lotions and local anesthetics in severe burns
there is no specific medicine for sun poisonig
best is prevent sun poisoning, use sunscreen, drink fluids, avoid long exposure to sun.

is it true that antiemetics will not work for severe vomiting from food poisoning because you're body is so desperate to get ride of what's making it sick that the vomiting reflex overrides the power of the antiemetic medication?

Still effective: After multiple vomiting episodes prescribing antiemetic medications, especially prescription ones, is definitely worthwhile. If these prove ineffective, hospitalization for IV fluid administration is mandatory to avoid or treat dehydration and other potential serious issues like electrolyte imbalance, kidney failure, etc.
