Unlikely: CF is a disease where the mucous your lungs make is very thick.  COPD is caused by smoking (usually) and results in loss of lung tissue.  Chronic bronchitis is one form of copd, but the mucous produced is normal.  Talk to your doctor.

Depends on the cause: There is no good treatment to reverse pulmonary fibrosis but the progression may be thwarted if one knows the trigger mechanism.  I presume that this person is under the care of a board certified pulmonologist who may prescribe oxygen for the condition.

: Post inflammatory lung syndrome due to pulmonary infection which includes covid-19 infection is still a frustrated complication which poses difficult challenges for both patient and pulmonologist. Yes, our knowledge is still quite limited in the treatment of long covid syndrome and pulmonary fibrosis is one of the primary concern.
