Tinnitis: It sounds like you have vibrating noise in the ear or ears. The condition is called tinnitis. There is no known cure or even good control. You get used to it.

Indirectly: Allergy symptoms can include nasal congestion and inflammation of the posterior nasopharynx where the eustachian tube drains from the middle ear.  With enough congestion, eustachian tube dysfunction can feel like ear popping or plugging that is uncomfortable.  An ENT or allergist can assist in unraveling the ear discomfort.

i have bad seasonal allergies. on drive down through the mountains had dizzy/vertigo/numbness. now i feel fluid behind eardrum. worse dizziness drivin?

Post nasal drip: You may have developed vertigo because of fluid from a post nasal drip secondary to allergic rhinitis which is affecting your inner ear.

ear pressure for 3wks. have allergies, take meds. ears are able to be popped, but it doesn't relieve the pressure feeling. ear drum mobile, no fluid in me, and normal tympanograms.  any insight?

You need : To have better control of your allergy. You need to take a decongestant histamine and at times two kinds of prescription nasal steroids if that severe . At times an additional oral histamine in the morning! see your doctor if no better . May need referral to allergist or ENT specialist depending on your needs.You can chew gums and yawn to help open up the eustachian tubes, .

my 2 year old had ear infection that went away, she's on zyrtec (cetirizine) for her allergies any thing i can do to help get rid of fluid behind ear drum.

Patience please: He fluid may persist for weeks after the infection clears but should resolve without help.Avoiding airway irritants like smoke or fragrances can reduce the chance the eustachian tube will remain swollen & prevent fluid release.

Dizziness: You may have a middle ear infection.  You need to see your doctor or an ENT specialist.

Retracted TM: Suggest seeing ENT, get audiogram. Keep ear dry , more like to have TM perforation than TM retraction.

could you explain the surgical treatment for a "collapsed" (retracted) eardrum, please?

Depends.......: The usual first step for treating a retracted eardrum is placement of an "ear tube". This can frequently allow the air pressure of the ear to return to normal. If the problem is too severe, then a more formal operation to fix and support the eardrum could be done. An ear tube may still be required.
There are some centers that are doing a balloon procedure on the eustachian tube.

Small lymph node: Lymph nodes help drain infection.  It is likely doing its job and may persist for a long time.  A 5 mm (0.5 cm) node is unlikely to be of consequence.

By itself? No: If the retracted eardrum is associated with smelly drainage, then you can be developing a cholesteatoma.
