Yes: Grapefruits and other citrus fruits contain a lot of acid and could delay healing in the mouth. I would suggest that you avoid acidic foods until this ulcer is healed up. If it is not healing see a doctor.

Injury: It will likely heal up without a problem. If the frenum was truly torn through and through, it may not heal back exactly like it was. This is really of no concerns as long as the soft tissue heals. Any swelling? The main thing to keep an eye on is to make sure you aren't getting an infection. As long as the is no large amount of swelling, pus, or you are not getting a fever then you should be fine

had oral intercourse with my girlfriend earlier today and i have a swollen frenum under my tongue now. what can i do ?

Rest it: Your frenum scpaped against your lower and possibly sharp edged teeth while sticking your tongue out. Warm salt water rinses and not sticking it out until it heals is all you can do. If this continues to be a problem, you can see the Oral Surgeon to do a frenectomy which will release this muscle and allow more movement outward before hitting the teeth. May have dentist smooth lower teeth if rough.

Pediatric dentist: This could be caused by a number of things. Trauma would be first on the list. Has the child taken a fall or bumped his/her mouth. Viral infection also comes to mind. Best to have it looked at by a pediatric dentist as soon as possible
