Gastrectomy: The most common reasons to remove all or some of the stomach include cancer and bleeding or perforated ulcers.  Thankfully, this operation is quite rare in the us due to the declining incidence of both of these diseases over the past  40 years.

Accepted Answer

Many small meals: The stomach functions like a washing machine, mixing the food with acid and digestive enzymes to prepare the food for further digestion and absorption of nutrients in the small intestine.  A person who has required stomach removal can compensate for this loss by eating 6 small meals a day, taking vitamin supplements, and eating foods that are easier to digest.

Yes: Other causes of lower right abdominal pains include adhesions from previous surgery, right sided diverticulitis of the colon, inflammatory bowel disease, pelvic and ovarian pathology,certain hernias.  Right upper abdominal pain occurs with gall bladder or liver pathology. If you're experiencing persistent or recurrent abdominal discomfort see your MD or surgeon for evaluation.

Unknown: I do not have enough information. Depends on the success of the surgery to remove all disease and if all the lymph nodes tested were benign. Earlier stage cancers have better success rates.

First family doctor: See your family doctor first for evaluation and diagnosis of cyst , most likely it is out side the stomach like pseudo or true cyst of pancreas, depending on the nature of it  some need observations others drainage by GI (endoscopic) or removal by surgeon your doctor will advise you and then you decide.

Call surgeon!: Obviously, you are supposed to get better and better after surgery, not worse as time goes on.  Since you are, please call your surgeon right away and let him/her know about this. my friend has had off and on stomach pain with nausea and vomiting when eating greasy foods or things like that and i had gallbladder removal 2 years ago she says its because she had gallbladder and hysterectomy is that common after surgery?

: Some people get post gallbladder surgery symptoms of nausea and vomiting. It is called Post-cholecystectomy Syndrome.  It can eventually subside on its own but often is due to stones in the Common Bile Duct or a remnant of the cystic duct. The patient needs to follow-up with the surgeon and see if they need another procedure to remove the stones or the cystic duct remnant.

Not generally: Pain is common in the groin (penis) but not usually the stomach.  If this continues, see your dr.

Natural healing : It closes by the body for in scar tissue, a natural healing process. On occasion, it does not close, and may need a surgical procedure to accomplish this. Hope this helps!
