Possible: Atrovent (ipratropium) (ipratroprium) has been available for quite a long while.  It has a low side effect profile.   Although i can't say for sure it very unlikely that after 10 years you will begin to have any secondary effects. Like any anti-cholinergic medicine it can cause urinary retention. This is much more common in men, especially if they have protate hyper trophy.  There are other meds you can switch.

Prostate pblms?: At your age, "prostate problems" are rare.  Swelling of the urethra will decrease the "pressure" which accompanies the output of urine or the ejaculate. This may be caused by an acquired STD such as chlamydia or gonorrhea.  Get a referral to a urologist to confirm.

See a urologist: It may not be from radiation. It may be prostate enlargement. It may be scar tissue if you had a catheter for your surgery. Best bet is an evaluation with cystoscopy from a urologist.

No one can tell: A smelly urine is probably due to infection, but not necessarily. If there is infection however, the only reliable way to sort the type of infection out is to do urine culture. The so called empiric treatment is usually tried in simple cases, without culture, targeting a group of possible bacterial organisms depending on the scenario e.g. Older vs younger sexually active persons.

Water: You should keep hydrate, drink a lot of water, Kidney are like the filter of the body, more you drink, more urine the kidney produce, if you drink poorly the kidney didn't filter too much

Prednisone ?: This is the drug of choice for proteinuria caused by the nephrotic syndrome. Creatinine is influenced by protein breakdown and kidney function as a whole,  increasing fluid intake can drop creatinine on a short-term basis. Suggest you sit dow with nephrologist

Doubt a problem:  I doubt this is the problem but why did you have the procedure? This is something you can discuss with your physician if you're not having any symptoms there's probably little to worry about. If you had symptoms I would wonder about a blood clot and obstruction or a kidney stone then moved and obstruction.

someone who takes carbamazapine 2 times a day. she was getting 400 mg each dose and it's been reduced to 200 mg each dose.she seems out of it , not eating, low urine output and more frequent rigid body movements. is this from the med change?

: For what condition is she being treated? Epilepsy? Nerve pain?  What is her mental status background?  I'm reluctant to attribute confusion,appetite loss, diminished intake of fluids to the decrease in dose. Her treating physician, who knows her best, is better qualified to answer your question.
