i am experiencing  foot itching and toe inflammation. the following also describe me: foot redness, toe swelling, and skin rash. what should i do? it has been itching since last night. i went hiking but no one else got itchy feet.

?athlete's foot: You could consider a trial of athlete's foot spray (usually lotrimin or tinactin spray) which are active against yeasts,e.g. Candida albicans. 
It is a moist environment that allows for growth of these fungi on the skin of the feet.  Give it a try for the next few days and determine if it settles down.  Otherwise, see a physician.

Need a more info: Your symptoms are too vague to determine what could be wrong.  I would suggest seeing a specialist so that a proper examination may be conducted.  Although you have mentioned many issues that you are not experiencing, there are still several causes that could result in dorsal foot pain while walking.

Pain? Yes. Red? No.: Morton's neuroma are affiliated with a "pins and needles" sensation of pain, usually between the toes but occasionally extending to the toes. Several things: If the itching starts fairly soon after you tried on the shoe, it's probably an allergic reaction to something in the shoe, like a die.  If the itching is associated with a flaking rash and begins a couple of days later, you may have picked up a fungus (athlete's foot).

Needless to say, always wear socks when trying on strange shoes.

It's : It's hard to say without examining you whether you actually have an infection, an ingrown toenail, or another problem going on with your toe.  Give your doctor a call and have them take a look at it.  If your primary care doctor is unable to help you, you may want to contact a podiatrist in your area.  If it is an infection, you may need antibiotics.  If you have an ingrown toenail, they can cut out the piece of the nail that is ingrown - sometimes at the root of the nail - and apply a medication to stop the nail from re-growing in that spot and becoming ingrown again.

In the meantime, make sure you are soaking your toe in warm water 2-3 times a day for 20 minutes at a time. If it is worsening instead of improving, or if you have increased redness, swelling, pain, drainage, or fever, call your doctor immediately.

can sweat&moist cause redness between big toes of a 9m baby? he swims every week. also uses shoes a lot. have you seen this on babies? is it common?

It happens: Generally a kid that age should avoid shoes. Many trap moisture and can lead to the equivalent of a diaper rash, especially between the toes.Rubbery soled  socks are the only things I put on kids feet at that age.Any shoes you buy for show, should breathe well while on the feet. Patent leather or plastic  are the worst offenders.

Depends: Depends on the etiology of the problem, and this is impossible to address, DX, in this format.
You should have an exam, if there is an infection present this will need to be treated with antibiotic.
If it is due to allergy, topical steroids will be Rxed.
This can only be DXed with an exam.
