Period prevention: Her doctor can prescribe oral pills that can limit her period to once every three months to once a year.
She should take oral iron and multivitamins to prevent iron deficiency anemia.

See primary doc: Pedal edema can result from ibuprofen and naproxen use. I have mainly seen it with Celebrex, (celecoxib) though. With your history of cancer, it makes sense to rule out a deep venous thrombosis or clot. Please see your physician for a doppler ultrasound if necessary. The fact that both legs are swollen makes that less likely. Still, it is best to make sure the swelling is not due to heart, kidney, or liver dz

Normal can be ugly: You could have kidney or heart problems but at your age I would suspect that you have the sl. swollen feet ofter seen at rest in women.  Some of us have relish colored feet from pooled blood and the veins will swell as the fill from gravity. Calf muscles are the major source of return blood flow in the less , so use them and balance will be restored, Walk!

Doctor can examine: Such symptoms may be due to hand-foot-mouth disease, a common childhood viral infection causing fever, blister-like spots in the mouth, and skin rashes (especially palms and soles). Hand-foot-mouth disease is not the foot-and-mouth (or hoof-and-mouth) disease of cattle, sheep, and pigs. The two diseases are not related.  Humans don't get the animal disease, and animals don't get the human disease.

Poor Circulation: For some reason you are not getting proper blood flow to the areas. Determining the reasons is i possible without a complete medical history & work up. There are many possible causes from meds that you take to more serious issues. You need to see your primary care md as soon as you can!

Increase blood flow: Increase in temperature (hot shower) cause increase blood flow to the extremities and skin and you could have red rash type appearance and associated swelling and numbness.
