i have a small, red patch of skin on my arm. its slightly raised from the rest of my skin. it doesnt itch or hurt, but it doesnt have much feeling, like how calluses dont have much feeling. what could cause this?

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, and physical examination, Try using an emollient on the lesion. If that does not help in a week or so, and if you have more symptoms, it would be prudent to see a doctor.

Rash: A number of conditions can cause a circular rash including eczema (nummular type) , ringworm, etc. . Eczema  often responds to moisturizers and a corticosteroid cream after a few days.  See a dermatologist for a proper diagnosis and treatment.

Try anti-fungal: I an wondering whether this is ringworm. Cancer won't appear overnight. A topical agent like tolnaftate would be a good try. If there is no response, get seen.

Likely dermatitis: You probably have dermatitis.  This is inflammation of the skin with itching or soreness, of various causes.  The causes range from allergic to autoimmune.  If the symptoms persists and cause significant pain or discomfort, you need to see your PCP for  Dermatology referral.

Keratosis Pilaris...: ...Is very common. I think of it as eczema of the hair follicles; some people also get it on the upper legs. A medium-strength steroid cream, prescribed by your dermatologist, will keep it under control.

It may be something very simple to do. Plus, you want it documented in your chart, or have photos taken. Good thing it doesn't hurt.
