why do the souls of my feet get red after standing?

It is unsusual: But obviously pressure effect . Since the your feet bear the whole weight of your body , there is a lot of pressure on them . If you stand for long time there could be stasis of blood  and you may have some redness though very uncommon. I would suggest to see your pcp since it is unusual symptom.

my feet have two oval shaped lumps on the edge of the outside of them.they're not red bumbs. standing, my feet burn, itch and go red. any ideas?

Red, itchy feet: Burning, itching, redness and small blister - like bumps on the outside arches can be a sign of tinea pedis, or athlete's foot.  This is kne of the most common complaints. There are a variety of excellent treatments to heal your feet that your doctor can help you with.

Redone : May be caused by pooling of your blood in the feet when you stand. It could possibly be due to venous insufficiency h where blood pools in your lower legs . It would be worth getting a physician to look at them

Extent? Pain?: If it infection it is best to see physician early because walking will become difficult.Redness can be sign of infection, trauma, allergic reaction and needs to be seen to determine appropriate treatment.

Tinea: In my practice a very common cause of foot redness and itching is tinea pedis, more commonly known as "athletes foot".  The rash may appear scaly, flaky or red and commonly itches.  Topical antifungal cream may help if this is the case.

Do easiest first.: There is a whole host of possible reasons why you are experiencing foot pain and swelling. Without question,  improperly fitting shoes is a distinct possibility and at the top of the list. Why not test your theory and stop wearing your dress shoes for a while. I have a feeling that relief is at hand.
