Probably normal: But the only way to know for sure is to have your own dentist take a look. They are most likely taste buds. As we can't actually see what you see, it's impossible to tell you.

Be alert ! : The bleeding bumps on the side of the tongue can be many things, and so, e of which should be looked at closely.! please see an oral surgeon soon for a thorough history taking and to check it out and if not resolved in couple of weeks, need to have it biopsied, to be safe. Tongue: May be local tongue trauma from the teeth, an inflamed taste bud or tongue papilla an inflamed salivary gland. Gargle with salt water and avoid spicy or acidic food but check it out with an ENT or oral surgeon

Throat lozenges and Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin can lessen pain.

It is common for those with sleep apnea and snoring to exhibit forms of this. However the lateral borders of the tongue are the most common location for oral cancer. Have your dentist examine and evaluate these sites to be sure.
