hands (around knuckles and fingers not palms) become blotchy red/darker red/white every now and then. possibly temp / sun related. what does this mean?

Probably vascular: This "appearance" is probably a vascular (circulation) issue. There is certainly no reason for concern since I do not believe this is associated with any medical disorder(s) Try asking again and attach some photos!!

i have a rash on my left hand. appeared suddenly. does not itch. red, blotchy, over knuckles, top of hand, and somewhat traveled up the arm. no idea what caused it...i noticed this morning. i thought at first it looked like i'd slept on it wrong?

Contact rash: You may have come in contact with something which triggered this rash. Avoid immersion in water, irritants and fragrance. Apply a thin layer of steroid cream three times daily, and if there is worsening, fever or associated symptoms, please see your PCP.

developed rash on the backs of my hands, starting at the middle knuckle and stopping just before the wrist. rash is blotchy red, possibly mildly swollen. the backside of the palm looks like tiny red squiggly lines (raised blood vessels?) rash doesn't itch

It : It may be a photosensitive condition (due to sunlight). Certain oral medications may make you more prone to this. These medications include antibiotics and blood pressure medications but may other medications may be the cause.

Infected insect bite: Looks like you have Insect bite with local reaction and infection. Most insect bites produce local reaction that improve in few hours. Complications include urticaria, systemic reaction and anaphylaxis, local infection or transmission of disease.

i am 5 months pregnant and my legs have been getting red & blotchy. could this be from poor blood circulation?

Increase circulation: The most common cause of this is that during pregnancy there is an increase in your blood circulation.  Many times there are small vlood vessels in the skin that become more open (dilated) and cause areas of the skin to appear red.  If you press on these areas you will usually see the area turn white (blanching).
There are other possible causes so you should have your OB physician evaluate this.

i have a red, blotchy and itchy rash on my thigh. no pus but it is dry. i  currently 14 weeks pregnant. what can be used until i see my ob?

Possibly fungal: Hydrocortisone cream1%, OTC , use minimal dose, in addition to clotrimazole OTC cream, use both twice a day for few days, if nk improvement, stop till you see your doctor

Exam needed: Redness and blotchiness of the hand may signify a vascular or dermatological disorder. A physician would have to examine your hand for diagnosis and advice.

Depends on the cause: Red blotch may be due to allergy to an insect bite and by scratching you made it bigger which can happen.The other possibility is that it is caused by an infection under the skin and it is spreading or it was insect bite which got infected.Since you are pregnant you better get it checked by your medical doctor.
