Depends on the cause: Red blotch may be due to allergy to an insect bite and by scratching you made it bigger which can happen.The other possibility is that it is caused by an infection under the skin and it is spreading or it was insect bite which got infected.Since you are pregnant you better get it checked by your medical doctor.
