Very different meds: There is no cross allergic sensitivity to tricyclics in presence of tetracycline allergy, but i cannot conclude that your "red raw tongue" is unrelated.  See your doctor asap, and get this checked out and start therapy or change meds, if needed.

: Rinse with a combination of half a cup of hydrogen peroxide and water. Also you can rinse with a non alcoholic mouthwash. Another trick, brush tongue with a fluoride toothpaste. Salty foods are not good, leads to high blood pressure.

Hydrate & check meds: Try to keep your body hydrated with extra water. You may be a mouth breather (especially if nose is clogged) and should use a nightly ointment like biotene moisturizer. Also some medications can make your mouth dry and cause your tongue to be raw so check with your physician. If you are brushing your tongue then be gentle. Certain foods like tropical fruit can cause this as well as nicotine.

Can, indirectly: Raw tongue is not listed with the side effects, but Prednisone does weaken your immune system, which can lead to a susceptibility for oral candidiasis/thrush.  This can definitely cause your tongue/ mouth to feel raw and sore.  You can rinse with warm salt water to help alleviate the soreness and if it gets really bothersome, head to your doc for a script of antifungals like nystatin. Wish u best!

Localized allergy: Is one possibility. As long as it doesn't become systemic leading to anaphylaxis it isn't a severe risk but if it does include cardiovascular or breathing difficulties it can become a life threatening systemic allergic reaction. If what you ate was particularly acidic it may just be an irritated region in your mouth. Beware of any reaction other than local irritation.

See details: There are several possible causes. Certain meds can cause a dry mouth. Sjogren's syndrome is also a common cause.
