Can, indirectly: Raw tongue is not listed with the side effects, but Prednisone does weaken your immune system, which can lead to a susceptibility for oral candidiasis/thrush. This can definitely cause your tongue/ mouth to feel raw and sore. You can rinse with warm salt water to help alleviate the soreness and if it gets really bothersome, head to your doc for a script of antifungals like nystatin. Wish u best!
