Itching: Kidney and liver disease, celiac, iron deficiency, thyroid disease  can cause itching. Check complete metabolic profile, celiac and thyroid panels  and abdominal sonogram for liver  cirrhosis, if appropriate. Avoid gluten for  1-2 weeks as you can have sensitivity w/o celiac  May  be dry skin try moisturizing with coconut oil   in shower.  rarely lymphomas can cause itching check CXR. f/u w/ doc

lately my whole body breaks out into an inch. it starts at my head and moves to the rest of my body, especially down my back. there is no rash or flakey skin. it's just really itchy and last a few minutes. scratching it doesn't help?

Many conditions: An antihistamine may be helpful. Use a gentle fragrance free soap and eczema lotion. If the symptom persists, please follow up with your PCP. Itching may also indicate a parasitic infection or gallbladder disease. Keep well hydrated, drink fluids and monitor your temperature. If you develop vomiting, chills, fever, please see your PCP right away.

Moving rash: The armpit and groin are naturally moist, but also normally home to benign yeast, fungi and bacteria.  This may be nothing to be worried about, but it can be a sign of diabetes.  Diabetics are prone to infections. Other immune suppressors can also do this, so time for a check at a primary care provider more then a simple answer on line. Check it out to be safe.

: Skin dryness from sun exposure and/or substances released from your exposure to the hair dye are possibilities here. Look for a rash or skin reaction around the scalp line. I recommend taking antihistamines,using a moisturizer or Eucerin if skin looks dry and using a different hair dye in the future.

Some things you can do before seeing a physician is to be sure the rash is not an adverse  reaction to a medication or suppliment you are taking, (stop all non-prescription otc medications) make sure that the rash is not an allergy to a topical product that you are using, (stop all fragranced detergents, soaps and lotions).
