Rash: Step one for all rash treatment is to establish the cause of the rash. Some things you can do before seeing a physician is to be sure the rash is not an adverse reaction to a medication or suppliment you are taking, (stop all non-prescription otc medications) make sure that the rash is not an allergy to a topical product that you are using, (stop all fragranced detergents, soaps and lotions).

Can transitioning formulas lead to diaper rash?

Dr. Marc Grella
Pediatrics 28 years experience
Yes: All foods, including formulas, are digested differently. Making a change between formulas will cause the intestines to digest different nutrients. This may cause temporary constipation, diarrhea, or both (or neither) until your digestive system adapts. Many people find that with changing formula their child gets looser stool and a diaper rash in the short term; should resolve in a week or two.

Stretch marks: Think of stretch marks as a kind of scar. There is no cure for this problem which often looks better over time regardless of what treatment is used. Otc products such as Mederma are of no value.

Jock itch: Sounds more like a tinea infection. U should keep the area clean and dry. Don't rub or scratch as it makes the rash worse. Heat n sweat r not good. Otc anti fungal powder/ cream can be tried.
