rash lining and inside lips; started with itching, turned to burning later on.. i have started using the vasoline and it is working wonderful,  but i wanted to find out if this is most likely a skin contact rash or something ingested?

Could be either one: What you describe could come from contact with a substance, like lip product, that you came in contact with. You may be allergic to one of the components. It is also possible that you had an allergic reaction to something you ate. Try to look back over the time just before you got the rash and figure out what it might have been. It does not sound like herpes if burning went away quickly.

Address the cause: Seems the treatments you have tried are not addressing the cause. One common cause of rashes is food allergies- common allergens include dairy, gluten, eggs, soy, citrus & almonds- try avoiding for 2 weeks and add back one at a time. aquaphor: Aquaphpr, vaseline, cerave sa lotion or u-lactin creme, for the feet are good. For the lips only use vaseline  or aquaphor. Also limit the use of soap.

are hsv1 & 2 igg conclusive after 7 wks of poss exposure? i tested negative at 7 wks. showed some early nerve pain symptoms, chapped lips... no sores no rashes etc. i've been told they are conclusive but then read may not be. please help clearify?

Inconclusive: The sensitivity of serologic testing for detection of HSV-2 (IgG antibody) vary from 90- to 100%, which means this test may result in false negative in up to 10% of infected patients.  I would repeat the test.

Not anaphylaxis: Anaphylaxis refers to acute allergic reaction with loss of blood pressure, passing out, tight airway, sudden difficulty breathing. The cause is usually known. You have something quite different. You need a diagnosis-----scabies or whatever----and your Dr should call a dermatologist for you to be seen on an urgent basis.
