Scabies: The most common rash between the fingers i diagnose in the er is scabies. Scabies are small contagious mites that burrow into the skin and cause pain and itching. There are over the counter meds used to treat this, but having an actual diagnosis before treatment is highly recommended.

Hand rash: It can be eczema or contact allergy, or related to sweating, you need to see a doctor to examine it and give you a proper diagnosis.

my daughter has a rash in between her fingers where the finger connects to the next finger/hand. lamisil (terbinafine) isnt working so is this not a ringworm?

Maybe: Ringworm/fungal infection is occasionally found between fingers and toes. This could be a fungal infection that is resistant to lamisil (terbinafine).  However, eczema can also imitate fungal infection, and cause redness and peeling and itching.  You may want your doctor to take a fine scraping of rash and send to lab for microscopy before further treatment.  You can fine tune the treatment, knowing the cause.

i have a rash between my first finger and my thumb that appeared one morning. the rash looks like small red pimples. even though it does itch, i can stand not to itch it.  hydrocortisone does reduce redness, swelling, itching. rash is nowhere else. ?

Contact dermatitis: When a rash is very localized as your describe it is likely due to a local contact. This could be a chemical product, a soap, plant material, etc. You are doing the basics. It should clear as long as you do not re-expose it to the same material. Time for some detective work.

Rash after sex: It is unclear to me if the rash you are describing is on your legs or your fingers, but regardless,  whenever somebody has a rash that starts after sex it's important to get screened for sexually-transmitted infections including gonorrhea, syphilis and hiv.

Still may be eczema: Eczema on the fingers and hands doesn't have to look like the dry, crackly surface skin texture of eczema elsewhere. Fingers can have itchy flesh-colored bumps, called dishydrotic eczema or dishydrosis. The treatment is as in eczema, with Hydrocortisone cream 3 times a day for a week. . . And if the rash worsens or isn't better, one should see a primary care doctor or dermatologist for evaluation.
